Tony Shane Lands

It is with great sadness that the Lands family announces the sudden passing of Tony Shane Lands, age 12. Tony Shane Lands, was born September 4, 1990 at Dryden, ON. He lived with his family at Eagle River, and attended school there. Tony was an amazing young man, having many interests and ambitions. His family life came first, and he enjoyed many hours spending time with his parents and brothers. The love of the outdoors gave him the encouragement to go fishing, camping, swimming and boating. These times would be spent with family, uncles and friends. Other hobbies, he had many such as biking and hockey. Tony played for Dryden Minor Hockey enjoying his teammates and the sport. Kindness, respectful, caring and being happy best describe him as a person. Tony was grateful for everyone and everything in his life. He’ll be sadly missed by all his friends at Eagle River Public School and Dryden. Tony Lands is survived by his parents, Norman & Cami. Brothers Joshua and Zack. Grandmother Thelma Derosier (Cliff Ledoux) and Grandfather Arnold Peterson. Aunts & Uncles Marty (Wendy), Mitchell (Pat), Patrick (Lisa), Brenda, Ruth, Stella (Ken), Christa (Floyd), Patrick, Jason, Dale, Roger and Kelly (Roger) and Donna (Robbie). Numerous cousins also survive. Predeceased by Grandparents Rosalie & Robert Lands, Uncles George, Darcy and Aunt Shirley.
A wake was held on Saturday October 19, 2002 from 3:00 p.m. till time of service at the Eagle Lake Community Hall Complex. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday October 22, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eagle Lake Community Hall. Interment followed in the Eagle Lake Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Dryden Minor Hockey Association through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Avenue, Dryden, Ontario. P8N 2X3.
