A Northwestern Ontario resident has been fined a hefty
sum for catching and keeping too many fish.
39 year old Shane Corlett has been fined almost 11-
thousand dollars for having 30 walleye and 23 brook trout
over the legal limit.
OPP found the fish in the freezer at Corlett’s
residence. The Thunder Bay resident claimed they belonged
to a First Nation person.
Corlett was unable to produce the alleged owner for the
trial and was convicted.
