The Ontario Sunset Country Travel Association is

reporting a decline in American visiters this summer.

Last year 75-thousand US Tourists crossed at the Fort

Frances Border into Canada.

So far this year, only 73-thousand Americans have

crossed into Canada.

Executive Director Gerry Carioux notes some areas have

seen an increase in tourism.

Cariou believes the passport issue and high Canadian

dollar may have had an impact on Americans deciding not to

visit the North.
