Tourism Hurting in Northwestern Ontario

An unofficial survey conducted by the Northern Ontario Tourist Outfitters Association suggests nearly 80-percent of American visitors turned back at the border for minor criminal offenses are crossing at Fort Frances or Rainy River.
Doug Reynolds says the problem is far more serious in this region than any other part of Ontario, and its hurting the tourist industry.
Reynolds suggests a cold spring and the recnet torrential rains have also been detrimental to the tourist industry in Northwestern Ontario this year.
