According to a survey of 99 tourist resorts in Northwestern Ontario, 80-percent are reporting a drop in bookings this year.
The Kenora District Campowners Association says overall bookings are already down an average 16-percent and gross income has also dropped the past couple of years.
President Harald Lohn says a number of factors come into play.

Lohn also points out that many Americans are ending their trip in Minnesota as that state has spent substantial money on aggressive marketing, highway upgrades and roadside stops and attractions.
