There is a new strategy in place to convince more people to visit Northern Ontario.
More then $2.3-million is being provided by both the Provincial and Federal governments for the 5-year plan.
Ontario’s Tourism Minister Monique Smith says it includes an aggressive marketing campaign in the mid-west United States.
The campaign also includes a new website showcasing what Northern Ontario has to offer.
Smith says the strategy was developed with the input from more than 500 tourism industry members from across the Region.
