Tourism Up in Region

More Americans are crossing the Fort Frances border to Canada.
Kenora-Rainy River MP Bob Nault says the region has seen a 3.5 percent increase at the border over last year.
A collection of tourism associations in Northern Ontario had voiced concerns about lower numbers of visitors.
The tourism industry says its been hit hard by customs officers tightening surveillance at the Fort Frances border crossing.
