Softwood Lumber Ruling

The World Trade Organization has sided with Canada in the softwood lumber dispute with the U.S.
It claims the U-S erred on several points when it levied the preliminary duties worth 19-percent on imports.
Weyerhaeuser Spokesperson Jayne Murray says the company is cautiously optimistic with the announcement but she believes nothing will change in the near future.
Murray says Weyerhaeuser will continue its lobbying efforts however she believes nothing will change in the immediate future.
The duties have cost the Canadian forest sector billions of dollars.
The U-S plans to appeal the WTO decision.
