The City of Dryden has teamed up with the Dryden District Chamber of Commerce to establish a new FM radio transmitter in the city.
The groups have filed an application with the CRTC to get a license for a tourist information station.
City Councillor Joe Delaney, who chairs the economic development committee, says the station would carry a 15-minute loop of events and attractions in the Dryden area.
Funding from Fednor is being sought to finance the project.
Delaney says the Chamber of Commerce would likely operate the station once it is up and running.
