A slow start for the Dryden Eagle Boys High School Hockey team ended well at the 21st Annual Brandon Genesis Tournament on the weekend.
The Eagles started out with a pair of losses to Selkirk and John Taylor.
However, Dryden quickly ran the table by defeating all of their opponents to win the Crocus Plains Division Championship.
The highlight was a 1-0 shootout win over Morden in the Division Final.
Kirk Markowski and Alex Calvert scored in the shootout, while Justin Oltsher stopped all 39-shots he faced to earn the victory.
Oltsher was named to the Tournament All-Star team as best goalie.
Alex Calvert led the way in the Playoff round with 4-goals and an assist, while Kale Kuzemchuk recorded 3-goals and Kyson Jensson 2-goals and 2-assists.
