Traffic Stop In Machin Leads To Drug Seizure

Provincial Police in Dryden are reporting a drug seizure after a traffic stop in Machin Township.

Police say they stopped the vehicle on Tuesday at around 11:40 in the morning and as a result of the stop they seized an estimated street value of $36 200 worth of drugs.

The accused has been charged with two charges of Possession of over 30 grams of dried cannabis in a public place, two charges of Possession of Cannabis for the purpose of selling and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available.

23 year old Lucas Poole of Kelowna, BC was released on a Promise to Appear and will appear in court on February 11th to answer to the charges.
