Travel Chaos in Thunder Bay Area

While we experienced minimal snowfall and fairly mild temperatures, the Thunder Bay area got hit with severe winter weather Monday.
Several motor vehicle collisions were reported both east and west of the Lakehead and the Trans-Canada was closed off and on throughout the day.
The most serious crash occurred in the Municipality of Shuniah.
An eastbound vehicle lost control on Lakeshore Drive and struck a westbound Ford Explorer.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle and three children were transported to Hospital.
Two kids are listed in critical condition.
The driver of the westbound vehicle wasn’t injured.
