Treasure Hunt

Things look promising in Sunset Country as Operation Treasure Hunt has discovered new mineral targets in the Sioux Lookout and Dryden areas.
The provincial geological surveys have found a significant amount of potential for precious and base metals in lake sediment.
Several of the findings are due to enhanced levels of Palladium, copper and nickel which are rarely found in lake sediment.
Northern Development and Mines Minister Dan Newman says the province continues to explore for new mineral targets and attract new investment in the region.
