Assault on Officer

A 30-year old Sandy Lake man is facing charges after a Sioux Lookout police officer was kicked in the leg.
O-P-P were called to a disturbance at a Sioux Lookout motel when they located an intoxicated man and women arguing inside the room.
A small child was also present.
O-P-P say as officers apprehended the child the man kicked an officer in the thigh.
The officer was not seriously injured.
Police say Daniel Meekis is facing a charge of assaulting a police officer.
Meekis will appear in court January 14th.
