Treasury Metals Hoping to Reach Deal With Chief

Treasury Metals says the company is committed in reaching a Memorandum of Understanding with Wabigoon Lake First Nation.
Spokesperson Greg Ferron says the company has had fruitful talks with community leaders and is willing to talk about mining activity on traditional land at any time.
However, Greg Ferron says a recent development has stalled talks.
Ferron says a financial demand from the Chief of Wabigoon Lake First Nation has hindered negotiations.
Meantime, Ferron says Treasury Metals has commenced work on the Goliath Gold project near Wabigoon.
A 20,000 metre core drilling program commenced Wednesday.
Ferron says initial results should be available in 6 to 8 weeks.
He notes this is Treasury Metals fourth extensive drilling campaign at the property.
Ferron is hoping to reach the pre-feasibility stage this year, which will include an economic assessment.
