Treaty #3 Calling for Hearing

Grand Council Treaty 3 says it would like to see the Indian Residential School Truth and Reconciliation Commission hold at least 1-hearing in Northwestern Ontario.
The new co-chairs of the commission have been sworn in.
Grand Chief Diane Kelly attended the swearing in ceremony and says residential school survivors in the region want to put their experiences on public record.
She adds that there were 11 residential schools in the Treaty 3 area and at least 1 hearing should take place in their territory.
