Treaty #3 Fights With Feds Over Funding

Grand Council Treaty #3 says its been forced to lay-off all of its staff.
The offices on Round Lake will be closed until further notice due to a funding shortfall, effecting 50-employees.
Reid Thompson is the Operations Manager and says the Ministry of Indian Affairs had promised 750-thousand dollars to the agency but the funding never materialized.
Since then, Thompson says the Indian Affairs Minister has gotten involved in the funding issue.
Minister Bob Nault says contrary to the statements, operational funding for the agency has been allowed to flow, but funding for the governance initiative has been put on hold.
Nault says Treaty #3 is spreading misinformation because the funding has been approved.
