The Treaty Three Police Service says it will not be renewing the contract of it’s chief of police.
Louie Napish has been suspended, with pay, since July 17th.
The executive committee of the police service says Napish was suspended for performance related issues, but won’t release any specific problems.
His contract expires at the end of this week and he will remain suspended with pay until then.
In the meantime, the executive committee says it will begin the search for a new police chief.
Jeff Skye will remain on as the acting police chief for the time being.
