A Louisiana man has been fined $4,000 and banned from hunting for 2 years after a trophy deer was killed north of Dryden last November.
54-year-old Gary Stroughter pleaded guilty despite never appearing in court.
MNR Conservation Officer Mike Humberstone believes the sentence was a fair one.
The case was handled between Lawyers in Dryden and Louisiana.
74-year-old Samuel Stroughter will go to trial October 19th on the same charges.
Although the MNR didn’t measure the official size of the Antlers, some hunters claim its close to a world record.
The City of Dryden is trying to obtain the rack for the Museum.
