Forest Ethics wants the McGuinty Government to put a
stop to large clear cuts in the Trout Lake Forest, a key
place for caribou to range.
The Environmental Group recently purchased satelite
images that show five clear cuts larger than 260 hectares
within the boreal forest in Northwestern Ontario.
Spokesperson Leah Henderson says the latest large clear
cut was just this past spring.

Henderson says the images contradict the Minister of
Natural Resourcs claims that large scale clear cuts are no
longer taking place in Ontario.
