The driver of a tractor-trailer is expected to make a full recovery, following a single-vehicle collision near Kenora, Sunday.
Firefighters say weather was a factor in the accident, which saw a truck travelling on icy and wet roads crash at Joyce Lake.
Warren Brinkman with the Longbow Lake Volunteer Fire Brigade says emergency responders got called for an extrication, and initially arrived on scene with the jaws of life.
The driver was treated for his injuries at Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
Brinkman adds one of the tanks ruptured and a quantity of diesel fuel was spilling from the tank, but he’s unsure if any made its way into the Lake.
