Trucks Blowing Stop Lights Along Highway 17

Dryden Police will be beefing up their patrol along Highway 17 near Cecil Avenue.
Chief Rob Davis says they’ve received a number of complaints about transport trucks blowing through the red light.
Davis adds that it’s only since the underpass re-opened that they’ve gotten the complaints.
He points to the 14-transport pile up along Highway 17 early Thursday morning, and says drivers of the trucks need to be held more accountable, no matter where they’re driving.
The safety blitz is expected to run 2-weeks, but police will always be patrolling that area in general.
