Officials with the Transportation Ssafety Board are
waiting to speak to the pilot of a float plane that crashed
on Laurenson’s Lake on Sunday.
TSB Spokesperson Peter Hildebrand says they’re looking
into whether or not ice in the carburetor played a role in
the crash.

Hildebrand says it still could be days before the pilot,
Kenora businessman Don Canfield will be able to speak.
The 52-year old is conscious, and suffered extensive
injuries including a broken vertabrae, a broken jaw, and at
least one broken rib.
