Two First Nations Communities Unite

The Grand Council of Treaty 3 and the Anishinabek Nation have formed a unity to work together on common issues.
Chief Warren White and Grand Council Chief Patrick Wedaseh Madahbee have agreed to share knowledge on traditional law making processes that are within the traditional Anishnaabe law.
Treaty 3 spokesperson Dale Morrisseau says the main issues that they will be working on is child welfare, lands and resources and protection of treaty and Aboriginal Rights.
Morrisseau says both communities have been working on the same processes so it makes sense to come together and share ideas.
A traditional ceremony was held earlier this week at Pow Wow Island in Wauzhushk Onigum.
