Two Gold Medals For Eagles Cross-Country Team

A short squad didn’t hold back the Dryden Eagles Cross-Country Running team in International Falls yesterday.
The Eagles came away with gold in the Senior Boys competition and gold in the Junior Girls competition.
An injured Senior Girls team walked away with a 5th place finish.
Andi Wood was one of the standout performers with a course record in the 4-kilometre event.
Elizabeth Carter, Amy Wickstrom, Gabby Gagnon, Martine Evans and Elisa Mawby all turned in personal best times.
Sarah Urquhart, Corrin Kuzemchuk and Mandy Tourond finished 2nd, 3rd and 5th respectively.
Jacob Benson, Alex Urquhart, Jeremy Braun, Mike Braun, Jake Wickstrom and Sean Wood also recorded personal best times.
