A great showing for local teams at the Stars Cup in Winnipeg.
The Rainy Lake Express, consisting of several players from Dryden, won the A1 Atom division at the weekend tournament.
The Express defeated Swift Current 4-0 and Brandon 1-0 to advance to the gold medal game.
The girls played the undefeated Winnipeg Stars and skated away with a 5-4 victory.
Autumn Cooper scored with seven seconds left to win the game.
That was the first tournament loss for the Stars this season.
The Dryden Peewee girls also won their division at the Stars Cup.
The Novice team finished fourth.
The Dryden Ricci Trucking Timberwolves finished the Bantam A1 division with a 1-2 record.
