The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service has charged two men following an arson in the remote community of Fort Hope First Nation.
The Service says a police vehicle was set on fire outside a detachment member’s home.
The fire started several small explosions and flames spread to the home.
The officer was forced to evacuate his family which included small children.
Police say 23-year-old Felton Sakanee and 20-year-old Clyde Waboose both face counts of mischief causing danger to life and arson.
Sakanee also faces 3-counts of breach of probation.
