The ‘Blue and Gold’ avenged a NORWOSSA Final loss last year by sweeping
the Kenora Broncos Thursday on home court.
Steven Laidlaw says they were focused from the start.
Dryden will play the Thunder Bay qualifier next Friday on the road for
the NWOSSA crown.
The Junior Boys were locked in an amazing battle only to fall in 5
sets.
Brendan Church says a slow start put them behind the eight ball.
The Eagles were down 2 sets to none before coming back.
A NORWOSSA Championship for the Dryden Eagle Junior Girls Basketball
team.
Erin Capovilla’s 16 points powered the Eagles to a 44-24 win over the
Fort Frances Muskies in the Gold medal game.
Sarah Ollerhead added 9 and says they came to play when it counted.
The Senior Girls fell in the Semi-Finals to Fort Frances 30-16 and
Rondie Hutchison says it was a struggle from tip-off.
Brittany Kamm and Brooke Chassoway each netted 6.
