Provincial Police have confirmed that two people are dead following a collision east of Ignace.
OPP say a crash involving two transports took place around 7:30 Wednesday morning near Raith.
Highway 17 continues to be closed between Ignace and Shabaqua.
There is no word on when the TransCanada will re-open.
Motorists can use Highway 11 as a possible detour.
