Two Vehicles Totalled Near Minnitaki

An OPP officer at the scene of a two vehicle colision Thursday afternoon near Minnitaki says it was as close to a head-on as two cars could come. A late model Chevy Impala and a Dodge van side-swiped each other at highway speed. Both vehicles had wheels ripped off and both spun into the north-side ditch. While it was apparent both vehicles were totalled, injuries were believed to be minor. No word as yet on charges in the mishap, which occurred at about two in the afternoon in bright sunshine.
