A couple of shootout wins have the Kenora ‘AAA’ Midget Thistles off to a good start to their hockey season.
The Thistles earned a 3-2 win Sunday against the Southwest Cougars at the Kenora Rec. Centre.
Dryden’s Ben Hackl earned an assist in the game.
Saturday night was a similar story as Hackl tied the game in the third period and Dryden’s Sam Brunton scored the shootout winner in 2-1 win over the Cougars.
Sioux Lookout’s Dylan Bertrand earned an assist on the Hackl goal.
