Watch for lower bills from Union Gas
The average decrease in northwestern Ontario will be about $74 a year.
Spokesperson Andrea Stass says it’s in part due to the elimination of the Cap and Trade program in Ontario.
Stass says that program added about 3.3 cents-per-cubic metre used of gas on your bill.
She notes changes in the price of natural gas and transportation also play into the rate decrease.
