Unemployment In Ontario Drops To Lowest Level In 16 Years

A drop in the unemployment rate in Ontario.

Statistics Canada says March’s rate fell more than half a per cent to 5.8, percent mostly due to fewer youth searching for work.

Still, it is the lowest unemployment rate for the province since January of 2001.

Nationally, the rate dipped only slightly to 6.5 per cent which is the lowest it’s been since April of 2008.
