There will be some extra activity at the Weyerhaeuser Trust-Joist Mill in Kenora today.
The IWA Council of the United Steelworkers will be distributing Union material trying to get employees to sign-on.
Council Chair Norman Rivard says they are taking their fight to a new level in a bid to improve the conditions for workers.
Rivard says they aren’t focusing solely on Weyerhaeuser however he notes they have had bad relations with the company in the past.
He notes IWA will hit other Mills across Northern Ontario during the fall and winter.
