Union Ensuring Solid Future

Unionized workers at Resolute Forest Products Mills in Canada and the United States are putting the company on notice.
Communication Energy and Paperworkers President Dave Coles says they’ve came up with a solidarity pledge.
Coles says they want to ensure Resolute isn’t trying to pit mills, unions and communities against each other in future talks.
Coles says they’re also demanding the unions be consulted on any future downsizing.
He notes the industry appears headed for another rough patch over the next few months.
Resolute operates Mills in Fort Frances and Thunder Bay.
