The Ontario Public Service Employees Union says computer problems that plagued the delivery of social welfare cheques in November are reoccuring.
OPSEU says reports from government workers indicate there has been a serious breakdown in the system, again causing over and underpayments and in some cases issuing no cheques at all. It claims some recipients are being informed by letter that their benefits have been suspended altogether.
The province had said last week that it was working to ensure welfare recipients would be getting their money on time.
