UPDATE: 1:05 p.m.
Highway 17 is now completely open to traffic just east of Vermilion Bay.
A crash near Waldhof Road completely closed the Trans-Canada around 7:00am
There is now alternating traffic in the area and motorists can expect delays.
On scene reports indicate the collision involved three tractor-trailer units.
That hasn’t been confirmed by police.
There was debris spread across both lanes resulting in a lengthy clean-up.
No injuries are reported.
