Update On Goliath Gold Project

Treasury Metals is out with an update on its Goliath Gold project in the Wabigoon area.
Vice-President of Operations Norm Bush says they hope to have the environmental impact statement completed this month, with public consultations scheduled to start in late October or early November.
Bush stresses tailings will be stored on site and will not be discharged into any lakes.
He notes treated water that will be overflowing from the tailing pond will go through a 6-stage purification system and it will meet all strict provincial water standards.
Bush says they are expecting to produce 70,000 to 80,000 ounces of gold a year, which would require $100-million of capital funding.
The proposed mine is expected to have a life of 10 to 12 years.
Bush says the project would create 150 to 190 direct jobs, not to mention numerous indirect jobs.
He hopes to begin production in late 2016 or early 2017.
