The Dryden Police Service has already occupied some space left by the Fire Department after their move to Colonization.
Officers are waiting for construction to begin on a revamped Police Station and Chief Shayne MacKinnon says they are itching to go.
MacKinnon says staff are currently working in cramped conditions and he is hoping that problem is addressed.
Work is expected to begin by the end of July.
The project is pegged at just under $1 million.
