Rainy-River Resources says it will have a better indication on its plans for a gold mine in the Rainy-River District by end of this year or early next.
The company has outlined its work at Richardson Township, Northwest of Emo.
Vice-President Garett MacDonald says the company is embarking on a number of technical and environmental studies this year to help them in that decision.
MacDonald says about 30% of the area has been explored.
A new gold mine could employ as many as 500-people when operational.
MacDonald says its possible a mine could be in operation by 2014.
