The federal budget isn’t getting a lot of positive reviews from northwestern Ontario.
Kenora M.P. Roger Valley says the budget doesn’t offer anything specifically for northern Ontario.
That includes no new money for FEDNor.

Meanwhile, the Nishinabe-Aski Nation Grand Chief, Stan Beardy says the so-called “Budget for every Canadian” had only a fraction designated for first nations.
He was hoping the Harper government would close the gap between aboriginal and non-aboriginal people.
