The resignation of Immigration Minister Judy Sgro is being
accepted with regret by the Prime Minister and Kenora MP Roger Valley.
Sgro stepped down Friday in order to clear her name amid allegations
that she promised asylum to a Toronto man in return for working on her
re-election campaign.
Valley calls it a vicious attack on Sgro but he believes her
Replacement, Joe Volpe, will have no problem filling her shoes.
He adds the mini-Cabinet shuffle will not effect life on
Parliament Hill.
