Officials with the Canadian Red Cross in Northwestern Ontario are
amazed by the overwhelming support from residents to aid Tsunami victims in
South Asia.
Dryden Spokesperson Shana Hanson assures the public that most of the
money donated is going directly to people who need it.
She says at least 90% of all donations go directly to aid
victims of the disaster and the other 10% is used to cover
administrative costs.
Hanson adds a donation as small as $70 will help a family of
6 obtain shelter, cooking utensils and a large water container.
