Mosquitos and blackflies are out in full force again this year and the insects are forcing wildlife out of the woods and onto highways.
OPP say there have been a rash of vehicle-animal collisions recently.
The Sioux Lookout detachment reports six crashes involving cars and moose and deer in the past month.
Most collisions have occurred at dusk or just after dark.
Fortunately, only one person has received minor injuries in the rash of crashes.
Police warn motorists to scan ditches as they drive for any sign of wildlife near highways.
