Vehicle Fire On Highway 17 West

Traffic was at a standstill earlier today on Highway 17 West, but it’s moving once again.
Just before 10:00 a.m. a pick up truck caught fire near Clearwater Bay.
The passengers and driver were able to get out of the vehicle unharmed.
Both lanes were temporarily closed as fire crews worked to put out the blaze.
Once the vehicle was cleared both lanes of traffic were re-opened.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
