A hefty fine for three Vermont men for illegal hunting activity in the Kenora area.
The trio were hunting northwest of Kenora just over a year ago, when they killed a buck on private property.
The hunters left their kill in the field and decided to retrieve it later in the day.
The deer was not tagged or field-dressed and by the time neighbors found it, it had been partially eaten by wildlife.
The men were fined a total of $7,500 for careless hunting, tresspassing to hunt, failing to attach a game seal and lying to a conservation officer.
