It’s been a very quiet start to the forest fire season in northwestern Ontario.
The fire season officially began on April 1st, but to date, there have just been four wild fires reported, burning about one hectare of land.
Most of the fire activity has been in the Whitedog area in the northern portion of the Kenora District.
The hazard is low, but officials are still urging the public to use caution with any fire.
