Dryden Police and Ontario Provincial Police are conducting a holiday weekend safety blitz on the roads, water and trails.
Police will be on the lookout for distracted, drunk and
aggressive drivers, as well as unsafe vehicles.
The Victoria Day weekend is considered the unofficial start of
summer, and it means heavier traffic on highways to cottage country.
four people were killed on highways
patrolled by provincial police during the Victoria Day weekend last
year. There were no fatalities on the water or on ATVs.
