Victoria Day Road Stats

OPP have released totals from their VIctoria Day Weekend enforcement
blitz in our area.
Officers laid a total of 250 charges under the Highway Traffic Act,
indluding 44 in the Dryden area alone.
Tickets were written for offences such as speeding, careless driving &
failing to yeild.
7, 12 hour suspensions were issued for suspected drunk driving while
5 people were charged with impaired.
Traffic Sgt Bob Beaty says the tone has now been set by Police for
the summer season!
