In Thunder Bay, the star of a viral video has identified himself to police.
A man who drove his car down Memorial Avenue with the vehicle’s engine hood popped wide open has stepped forward.
Acting city traffic Sergeant Bill Pollock says the man called to admit it was him in the video making the rounds on social media. It turns out the man had been working on the car and the hood was not latched properly. As a result, it popped open while he was driving.
The acting Sergeant notes the video shows he had numerous chances to pull over into a parking lot, but chose not to. The police haven’t decided whether to lay any charges, but that the man’s cooperation may play a role in the final decision. (Language warning in video) (Video via YouTube)
